Across the city from Enoch

Century Casino & Hotel Edmonton is at 13103 Fort Road, in north-east Edmonton. From Enoch centre it is 19.4 km away in a straight line, to the north-east. That puts it on the opposite side of the city from River Cree Resort & Casino, which sits on the western edge on Enoch Cree Nation.

The two opened in the same year. Century Casinos opened this casino in November 2006 and the attached hotel in March 2007. River Cree also opened in 2006.

Century Casinos still runs it. In May 2023 the operator agreed to sell the real estate of this property and three other Alberta properties to VICI Properties. A September 2026 deal to sell Century's two racetrack casinos does not include this one. For the other stops on the map, see Casinos along the way.

Hours and what is inside

The casino publishes these hours: Monday to Thursday, 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 a.m. Friday to Sunday, open 24 hours. River Cree runs its casino floor and slots 24 hours every day, so on weeknights the two stops keep different hours.

The operator's 2025 annual report lists:

  • An off-track betting parlour for wagering on horse races.
  • Two showrooms. One is 10,700 sq ft and seats about 500 for concerts. The other is 3,000 sq ft, seats about 200 and hosts Yuk Yuk's Comedy Club shows.
  • A hotel with 26 rooms, as of December 31, 2025.
  • A restaurant, a sports bar and lounge, and two more bars.

The hotel is small next to River Cree's 249 rooms. A 2016 renovation added a poker room and renovated high-limit and VIP gaming rooms. The casino publishes its current games and schedules on its own site; check there before making the trip for one game in particular. The loyalty program is Winner's Edge, the province-wide program that River Cree also promotes.

The way in, with or without a car

By car. Set the address, 13103 Fort Road. The operator lists 600 surface parking spaces plus a complimentary heated underground garage with 300 more. It calls itself the only casino in the Edmonton market with a free heated garage; that is the operator's own claim. River Cree's parking is also free, with self and valet parking through the casino entrance.

Without a car. This is where the two stops differ most. River Cree has no rapid transit station nearby. Century is close to Belvedere station on the Capital Line LRT, a ground-level station at Fort Road and 129 Avenue.

  • Belvedere Transit Centre is served by ETS routes 053, 106, 107 and 108, and regional route 415 to Strathcona County. It also has a FlixBus bay, an On Demand Transit bay and a DATS stop.
  • After midnight, the 002 Owl leaves Belvedere about every 30 minutes: toward West Edmonton Mall (last departure around 2:40 a.m.) and toward Clareview (last around 3:20 a.m.).

These times come from the ETS schedule board revised August 30, 2026. Check them before the late leg home. For the Enoch end of the trip, see Without a car.

Around the stop

  • Edmonton EXPO Centre is a short drive away.
  • Commonwealth Stadium is reachable by taking the LRT from Belvedere, a route some hotel guests use for concerts and games.
  • Hermitage Park, 2115 Hermitage Road, is a river-valley park a short drive east. It has trails, a large off-leash dog area, picnic sites and a stocked trout pond. Open 5 a.m. to 11 p.m.
  • Rundle Park, 2909 113 Avenue, is on the north bank of the North Saskatchewan River, a short drive south-east. It has a golf course, trails, sports fields and the ACT Aquatic and Recreation Centre. Open 5 a.m. to 11 p.m.

What visitors tend to mention

Staff come up most often, with front desk, café and restaurant staff described as friendly and helpful. The free heated garage gets regular praise, especially in bad weather.

Most guests like the food, from café breakfasts to portions and prices. Some note there is in practice only one restaurant and would like the café to open earlier. Rooms are usually called clean with comfortable beds, though some find them dated. Occasional complaints mention noise from air units and one report of drug use outside the entrance without a security response.

Guests often find the location handy for a show in the showroom or for the LRT to the stadium.
