What the room is for
The Venue at River Cree is the resort's event space. It is in the same complex as the casino and hotel at River Cree Resort & Casino, on Enoch Cree Nation just west of Edmonton.
The official site lists concerts, trade shows, galas and private events. The same room serves a touring act one week and a banquet the next.
How big it gets
The size depends on the setup. The official site gives two figures on two pages.
- The entertainment page says capacity runs from 500 to 2,500, depending on the setup for the event.
- The homepage describes 24,000 square feet of event space for up to 2,400 people.
This guide does not choose between them. For a given show, the seating layout on the ticket listing is the figure that matters.
Where the schedule is posted
The venue publishes its own event list on the official entertainment page. The site menu also has All Upcoming Shows and Calendar pages.

Tickets
Each event listing on the official site shows where tickets for that show are sold. Ticketmaster has a venue page for River Cree Resort & Casino. Prices are set per show. They are on the listing, not here.
Members of the River Cree Players Club get pre-sale codes for shows, according to the venue's Players Club page. The club is free to join with valid government-issued photo ID.
Booking an event
For trade shows, galas or a private event, the resort lists a separate line for event inquiries and bookings: 780-930-2622. General questions go to 780-484-2121.
Age and the evening
The official site does not publish one age rule for all shows. Check the event listing for the show you plan to attend.
The casino floor is a separate matter. Gambling in Alberta is for adults 18 and over, and casino staff check photo ID for anyone who appears to be under 25.
During concerts and events, the venue gives designated drivers free unlimited fountain pop or water. Getting there and back
Parking is free, with self parking and valet through the casino entrance, according to the venue's hotel fact sheet. Directions are on the drive from Edmonton.
Without a car, the resort runs a free shuttle from West Edmonton Mall every 30 minutes. For the schedule, call 780-930-2562. Check the last run before a late show. Details are on without a car.
